A Wedding Gift From A Fellow Foodie

My friend Kristina dropped off the best gift of food we have ever seen! Along with a sweet card expressing her desire for a happy, healthy, and flavorsome marriage she included these tasty delights for Bob and I to enjoy: Salted Skin-On Marcona Almonds, Gran Maestre Manchego, Brut Vintage 2008 Naveran Cava, and homemade membrillo (a paste jelly made from quince). Oh, this is so romantic!

Our Wedding Cake!

The crew at Zillycakes created our all vegan wedding cake and cupcake tower and did a phenomenal job from conception to presentation! The bride and groom cake was vegan chocolate and the cupcakes were vegan chocolate and spice and had vegan chocolate, mojito, and spice frosting. Each came with either a chocolate coin, chocolate chips, or an intricately colored sugar skull.

...and this was our crazy quilt cake table cloth that I made.









We danced our way to the table to Average White Band's "Cut the Cake" and theatrically cut up and fed each other little bites as our friends and family watched and giggled hysterically at our antics.

Last minute wedding preparation....and The Land of Peapodriot's One Year Anniversary!

So the wedding is this Sunday and all I can focus on are the last minute details. I assure you that beginning this November 1st I'll be posting regularly, so keep an eye out for new photos and delicious recipes!
