Soe M. Maung - Kyel Sein Hein, Specialty Burmese Cuisine
Last year I interviewed Soe Maung for an Edible Buffalo article, Hidden Cuisine of Buffalo - Burma. I was excited to get the message that Soe was setting up at the Westside Bazaar & Food Court, in his new kitchen Kyel Sein Hein.
Pictured to the right, you can see the kitchen space that Abyssinia Ethiopian Cuisine, Jolie's Traditional Chinese Food, Pure Peru, and Soe share.
Pictured left is coconut chicken noodle soup.
Pictured right is classic Burmese Mohinga.
Seating right now is limited to along the bazaar's front windows and directly across from Soe's order window. But with all of the space in front of the building, bistro tables may pop up during beautiful sunny days this summer.
The rest of the building is an explosion of color and design, a riot of gorgeous clothing, jewelry, statues, decorative housewares and more. I recommend going early to avoid the rush of the lunch crowd, it's a lively place! The bazaar is located at 25 Grant Street Buffalo, NY 14213.
